RedThread is an archive of investigative fiction. Every case is an authored file — a briefing, evidence you can examine, suspects with something to hide, and one answer that the material supports. You read, you test, you pin what connects, and you name a culprit. The archive keeps score, but the point is the hour you spend inside the file.

Cases come in three formats, and the difference is how much guidance the file gives you:

• Record — a complete account, read as it stands.
• Thread — the story opens as you earn it; follow the sequence and connect what matters.
• Investigation — only evidence, no narration. Draw your own conclusion.

Most of our files come out of one place. Trallaght is a small invented town with a long memory: its newspaper keeps a morgue of back editions, its police files contradict each other, and people who appear as witnesses in one case turn up as suspects in another. Cases are written to stand alone, but they are set in the same world, and the world remembers.

Each file starts as a solution and is written backwards from it. Every document a case ships — a ledger page, a coroner’s summary, a phone recovered and imaged, a newspaper clipping — is produced as an exhibit in its own right, then checked so that the answer is reachable from the material and never from a guess. What is locked behind your progress stays on our servers until you earn it, so nothing can be read ahead of the work.

RedThread is built by a small independent team in India — writers, a designer and an engineer, working on the archive case by case. We are not a studio with a publishing schedule; files ship when they are actually solvable.
